Our Story
We love animals. I grew up in South Western Germany, where we shared our home with a beautiful German Shepard named Assie, and a playful Boxer named Barry. Barry was the first puppy I trained when I was 12 years old, and as you might expect he was highly active and mischievous. It was a very challenging yet rewarding experience that really fostered a love of animals early on in my life.
Our most recent dog was an Australian Cattle-dog mix, named Mona. We adopted Mona, who was only with us for a little over three years. Sadly, she developed an aggressive form of cancer, and both her vet and the animal cancer clinic could not offer any help. We tried everything from natural remedies to more unconventional treatments, however, a few months later Mona passed away leaving a big void, in our lives.
After Mona, my husband Dan and I decided not to get another dog, but we agreed that caring for animals is what we love to do, so we decided to start Fido & Feline Holidays and Daycare in Guelph, Ontario. It's a way of helping friends and family look after their beloved animals, but also of making new connections and developing friendships with our clients. You can trust your fury friends with us, we'll care for them like they're part of our family.
What our Clients are Saying.

Oliver
"We left our puppy Oliver with Anja in July. He was 1 year and 10 days old. We were really concerned about leaving him, and did not want to leave him in a kennel, but in a home environment. Our little guy had never been socialized with other dogs and we were concerned about that. Anja made us feel comfortable about leaving Oliver. When we were away, she sent videos and photos of Oliver interacting with many dogs in their care. I would highly recommend Anja and her company Fido and Feline. We will be boarding our dog again in September; that's how much we trust her."
